Letter to the Editor

Editor’s Note: This message came in today as a Letter to the Editor from U.S. Senator Craig Thomas.
Susan and I want to personally say a heartfelt “thank you” to everyone who wrote in offering their support while I was undergoing treatment for leukemia.
We have been overwhelmed by the cards, letters, and prayers from everyone during this time. We’re especially thankful for the tremendous response from people across Wyoming.
I just want to express my gratitude for the kind thoughts I’ve received from my friends and neighbors around the state. It’s been very meaningful to me to have that kind of support having never been through anything like this before. The people of Wyoming have been a very real part of my recovery – a three-week resurgence that surprised even my doctors.
I’m back on the job now and delighted to be doing that. While I may have to go back in for additional treatments in the future, my doctors and I are confident about my health going forward. I want to encourage you all to be careful about your own health, making sure to follow up on any problems that arise – it will make all the difference.
