The Sublette County Commissioners are seeking public comment on the position of Sublette County should take on the management and use of public lands. The plan, when approved, will clearly communicate to public land management agencies the county’s position on the issues that affect the county’s heritage, culture, economy and environment. The plan would then be utilized by federal agencies in making planning and management decisions.

Comments can be submitted by letter or e-mail to Bart Myers, Sublette County Planner, bartmyers@yahoo.ca, or dropped by the Sublette County Courthouse at 21 S. Tyler Ave, or mailed to PO Box 506, Pinedale, WY 82941.

Comments will be accepted for the initial scoping until July 21st. Once the draft document is written (targeted for August 10th), the public will have another chance for review and comment. The Commissioners hope to have the policy document completed before November to give to the Bureau of Land Mangement and the Forest Service.
