'As You Like It' July 23
Wyoming Shakespeare Festival Company returns to Pinedale

The Wyoming Shakespeare Festival Company, now in its seventh year, returns to Pinedale in William Shakespeare's effervescent comedy AS YOU LIKE IT, proving "All the World's a Stage" and each and everyone has many parts to play.
As its title asserts, AS YOU LIKE IT has something to offer every taste. On one level it serves as a stock romantic frolic with disguised princesses, an unjustly disposed ruler and a handsome leading couple. But the play also offers food for thought on a traditionally amusing subject: the assets and drawbacks of country life. The dedicated student of literature can consider the play's relationship to the "pastoral romance", a form of escapist writing with roots in ancient Greece, very popular in the Renaissance (and the 1960's as well!). Further, the play is a sparkling theatrical entertainment, with more songs than any other Shakespeare play, a wrestling match, a procession of singing hunters and a goddess ballet. Come escape to the joyful world of Arden from the "briars of this working day world.". Experience this Wyoming born and bred company giving voice to the playwright who "was not of an age, but for all time."
AS YOU LIKE IT will play in Pinedale on Sunday, July 23rd at 2 pm on the back lawn of the Pinedale Library. This year the event will be FREE, with food and refreshments served. PFAC season tickets will be on sale, and local artists are encouraged to come display their work.
Bring family, friends, blankets or lawn-chairs, and enjoy the show! Presented by the Pinedale Fine Arts Council and the Sublette County Library Foundation.
