Pinedale area road construction-June 19 update
Tyler Avenue, Sublette Avenue, highway construction updates
June 19, 2006

Pinedale Tyler Street Construction
Construction will be shifting to the north side of Pine Street next week. Crews will be working from Valley Road south towards Pine Street/Hwy 191. This will put construction directly in front of Pinedale Elementary School. Residents living in Shelter Park will need to use Franklin Avenue to access Pine Street. Detour signs will be placed ahead of construction showing motorists how to get around the construction. Please be aware that all alternate routes, as well as Tyler Avenue, are through residential neighborhoods. Please slow down through construction zones.

Pinedale Sublette Avenue Construction
Construction of valley pans will continue in the southeast portion of town on Sublette Avenue. Some east-west running streets intersecting Sublette Avenue may be closed at times for concrete pouring and curing. Crews hope to have concrete poured by Tuesday, which would allow traffic to be fully opened up again by Saturday. Watch for traffic control barriers. Sewer lines will continue to be constructed from Magnolia Street north up Sublette Avenue. Traffic control will be in place diverting traffic to either the south or north side of Pine Street/Highway 191 as needed.

Highway 191 South of Pinedale Construction
Construction continues on Highway 191 for 11 miles from Pinedale south to just north of Boulder. Crews are removing of a portion of the existing surface and placing overlay. There is also work being done installing a left turn lane at the Paradise County Road. Construction is scheduled through the end of October. Travelers should plan for the possibility of 20-minute delays with stopped conditions.

Highway 351 Big Piney Cutoff Construction
New this week is that construction has begun to install a new left turn lane at the Sublette County Landfill, about 2.5 miles on the west end of Highway 351. Expect to see heavy equipment operating with limited sight distance approaching this intersection. Work crews are placing a leveling course and overlay on WYO 351 from milepost 6.00 to 12.87. A new left turn lane is also being installed at Paradise Road. This highway is paved and there should be no delays. This road has minimal shoulder pavement and gets heavy big truck traffic from the gas field. Construction will be in progress through the end of October.

Highway 189 LaBarge to Big Piney Section
Road construction is occurring on approximately six miles of highway on 189 north of LaBarge. Workers are doing partial reconstruction between mileposts 91.5 to 97.5. Expect some detours off the paved road with speed slow downs to 10-20 miles per hour. Crews are widening, placing overlay, doing slope work, pit run and crushed base placement, asphalt paving, seeding and fencing along this stretch. Work is scheduled to be in progress through mid-November.
