Snow Advisory into Monday
April 16, 2006

The National Weather Service is advising that a powerful Pacific storm will continue to advance towards Wyoming Sunday night, bringing significant changes in the weather across western Wyoming. The system will bring strong winds and rain to the lower valleys, along with possible thunderstorms. Rain is expected to change to snow overnight after midnight. Periods of heavy snowfall are likely for the Jackson and Star Valley areas and surrounding mountains.

The cold front will push through central Wyoming on Monday with 3-6 inches of snowfall possible in the valleys and up to a foot accumulation possible in the higher elevations. This system is expected to exit the area Tuesday evening.
