Hard Hats & Stetsons April 8
Green River Valley Museum fundraiser, Big Piney
April 6, 2006
The Green River Valley Museum in Big Piney will be hosting their annual Hard Hats & Stetsons fundraiser on Saturday, April 8th. The event will be held at Waterhole #3 in Marbleton, starting at 6 pm. There will be live music by the band, DRIVE, from Idaho Falls.
There are many items that have been donated for the silent and live auction including golf, skiing, theater, Lagoon trips, local artwork, books, crafts, jewelry and shopping trips. Many local and area businesses and individuals have donated a wide variety of items.
Money raised goes towards exhibits and displays at the Green River Valley Museum which preserve Sublette County’s rich and unique history. New projects include renovations to the Burnham Building and the Price-Sommers schoolhouse. The Museum has sponsored the Sublette County newspaper DVD project, putting copies of many original newspapers and film from the State Archives in a digital format. These DVDs will be available at the school and public libraries in the county. This summer, the Museum will be expanding that project to include a searchable online database.
Tickets are available at the Office Outlet stores in Pinedale and Big Piney, Waterhole #3 and at the door. Join the Green River Valley Museum for an evening of fun and entertainment and help support their efforts to preserve local history!
