Pinedale Municipal Elections May 2nd will elect a new mayor and 2 town councilmen
April 30, 2006

Bob Rule, owner of KPIN 101.1 FM Radio in Pinedale, has asked the candidates for Pinedale Mayor and Town Council to answer several questions and record their answers so they can be broadcast Sunday and Monday before Pinedale voters go to the polls on Tuesday. The responses will be aired on KPIN at the times shown below as well as posted here as audio files on Pinedale Online as mp3 audio files.

Voters who are still undecided, or what to know about where local candidates running in the Pinedale elections stand on current issues, can also find detailed articles in both local newspapers from last Thursday. Bob Rule of KPIN will also have live announcements of the election results after the polls close at 7 pm on Tuesday, May 2.

Pinedale Municipal elections will be held on Tuesday, May 2. Pinedale residents can vote at the Pinedale Town Hall from 8 am until 7 pm.

#1: The municipal election is a "non-partisan election", and thus, party affiliations are not listed on the ballot. Nevertheless, many voters want to know something about each candidate's political party affiliation and political leanings. Please state which political party (if any) you are registered with, and give your reason for choosing to register with this political party.

#2: Several of the candidates have said they want to work to preserve the character of our community. That can mean different things to different people. What aspects of Pinedale would you like to see kept as-is, and what aspects would you seek to change and how would you seek to change them?

#3: What is one issue that is important to you? Please tell us about it.
