Moose, Bighorn Sheep, Mtn Goat deadline Feb 28
by Wyoming Game & Fish
February 21, 2006
Resident and nonresident hunters are reminded the Feb. 28 deadline for moose, bighorn sheep and mountain goat licenses is fast approaching.
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department does not want anyone to miss their chance to draw one of these highly sought-after licenses or purchase moose and bighorn sheep preference points by making sure their application reaches the Cheyenne Office by 5 pm February 28.
Applicants can also choose to purchase a moose or bighorn sheep preference point without applying for a license. Nonresident preference point fees are $75 for moose and $100 for sheep. Resident preference point fees are $7 for either species. Application to purchase a preference point must also be made by the February 28 deadline.
Resident applicants are alerted that the moose, bighorn sheep and mountain goat application form says the deadline is February 29. There is no February 29 this year and the deadline is the last day in February, which is the 28th this year. The Game and Fish apologizes for the printing error.
All application dates are listed in the 2006 big game application booklet, available at Game and Fish offices, license agents and online at http://gf.state.wy.us.
