Major Winter Storm Developing
6-9 inches new snow possible on Wednesday

A major winter storm is developing for Wednesday across Wyoming, warns the National Weather Service out of Riverton, Wyoming. A Winter Storm Watch is in effect from Wednesday morning through the evening.
A strong winter storm system is moving into the Pacific Northwest and is expected to move into Wyoming by Wednesday. This storm will combine with a cold air mass in place to produce areas of heavy snowfall Wednesday into Wednesday evening.
Snowfall is expected to be heavy across the Upper Green River Basin with 6-9 inches of snow possible before the snow tapers off late Wednesday night.
Weather Forecast: Tuesday, Valentine’s Day: A 20 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 27. Wind chill values between -6 and 4. North northwest wind between 8 and 11 mph. Tuesday Night: Snow likely. Cloudy, with a low around 2. North wind between 3 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
Wednesday: Periods of snow. High around 21. Wind chill values between -8 and -18. East northeast wind 15 to 18 mph becoming south southeast 7 to 10 mph. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 5 to 9 inches possible. Wednesday Night: Periods of snow, mainly before midnight. Low near -4. Wind chill values between -9 and -14. Southwest wind at 7 mph becoming north. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
Thursday: A 20 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high around 16. South wind 7 to 9 mph becoming west. Thursday Night: A 20 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around -9.
Friday: A 30 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 13. Friday Night: A slight chance of snow. Partly cloudy, with a low around -13.
Saturday: A slight chance of snow. Partly cloudy, with a high near 14. Saturday Night: A slight chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low near -9.
