Green River Valley Cattlemen’s Association annual meeting and banquet

The Green River Valley Cattlemen’s Association (GRVCA) will be holding their annual meeting and banquet on Saturday, March 4th in Pinedale. The GRVCA advocates for Green River Basin agriculture.
Committee meetings will be held on Friday, March 3rd at the Sublette County Library in Pinedale to conduct regular business and hear presentations from local government agency representatives (National Resources Conservation Service, US Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, Wyoming Game & Fish, Wildlife Services, Sublette County Conservation District). Committees will draft resolutions.
The annual meeting will be held at 1 pm on Saturday at the library for regular business and adopting resolutions. There will also be several presentations: Jonah Field Grazing Issues (Stephen Reynolds and Cotton Bousman-EnCana Oil & Gas USA), Animal ID and Premise Numbers (Jim Magagna-Wyoming Stockgrowers), Rangeland Monitoring DVD Presentation (Eric Peterson and Joel Bousman), Legislative Updates (elected representatives).
The banquet will be held on Saturday, March 4, at Rendezvous Pointe. Cocktails start at 5:30 pm, dinner at 6 pm. The menu is Prime Rib by Sue Eversull. There will be live music by Legend. Guest Speaker will be Wyoming State Engineer Pat Tyrrell on the “Demands on Future Water Use in the Green River Valley.” Banquet tickets must be purchased by February 26th. Banquet tickets will not be available at the door. Cost is $25 per person.
The GRVCA will also be having a raffle for their scholarship fund. Raffle items are: Fifty 13-foot barkie poles or sixty 4-inch drive posts. Each is valued at more than $300, donated by Pickaroon Timber. Raffle tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5.
The meetings and banquet are open to the public, and there is no fee to attend the meetings. Raffle tickets may be purchased by anyone. Ticket holders need not be present to win.
