November 24, 2005
(Pinedale) Attention Skiers, Snowmobilers and Travelers: Enjoy a beautiful Thanksgiving Day, then get ready for more snow over the weekend and next week! Two storm systems will move in, one Friday and another around Monday, to bring fresh snow to western Wyoming.
According to the National Weather Service out of Riverton, we’re in for a major change in the weather over the weekend and especially early next week. The first weather system will impact western Wyoming Friday night into Saturday, with a couple inches of snow possible, especially in the mountains. Chance of snow jumps from 20% on Friday to 40% on Sunday.
Snow is expected to spread east of the Continental Divide into eastern Wyoming late Saturday, with much cooler air coming in.
Sunday is expected to be a dry day with another potentially stronger storm developing Monday through Tuesday. This system will bring in colder weather and a good chance of several inches of snow. There is a chance of snow every day, Monday through next Wednesday, with daytime temperatures in the high 20s.
