Big Piney & Marbleton celebrated their 72nd Chuckwagon Days celebration over the 4th of July weekend. Festivities included a WRA & IMPRA Rodeo on Sunday and Monday featuring bareback riding, calf roping, team roping, barrel racing, breakaway roping, bull riding and saddle bronc. A special audience-participation "bull scramble" was also held to see who, for $200, could pull a ribbon off of a big bull in the arena.
The Grand Marshall for the 2005 Chuckwagon Days Rodeo was life-long Big Piney resident Helena Linn. The Sublette County Fair Royalty Queen and Princesses performed the Grand Opening and carried the flag colors. Rodeo Announcer Matt Bombard and the rodeo clown kept the crowd entertained during both days of the rodeo.

Chuckwagon Days has been a tradition in Big Piney and Marbleton for 72 years. A lot of people put in a lot of volunteer time and generously donate money towards rodeo buckles, the BBQ, and other expenses to put on the event. Without their generous support, this event would not be possible.
