Proud Catch Cold and Wet Morning

The Pinedale Boat Club held its annual Father's Day fishing derby at Fremont Lake on Sunday, June 20, 2004. Cloud cover all day, and a little rain, made it "wet and cold" as one fisherwoman described it. But the cold weather could not keep the die hards away. There were 71 entrants, each being allowed to enter one fish of minimum 22 inches in length. Cash prises were paid for the five largest fish. By late afternoon the clouds started to break to show a little blue sky. Lakeside Lodge was host for registration and weigh-in, but most importantly for a little heat, a beer, and some fish stories.

1st - Ed Brough, 16.0 lb 37" Lake Trout - $484.00
2nd - Dave Pape, 10.6 lbs 32.5" Lake Trout - $363.00
3rd - Flo Retel, 6.4 lbs 24" Lake Trout - $181.50
4th - Norm Pape, 4.6 lbs 25" Lake Trout - $121.00
5th - Ted Porwoll 4.0 lbs 23" Lake Trout - $60.50
