Moose Alert
A different version of 'Neighborhood Watch'

One of the aspects of living in Pinedale that we really enjoy is the quality of life here. Small town, low crime rate, everyone knows most everyone else and really care about each other. Living here, we've formed our own versions of the 'Block Watch' programs. Out on the area ranches, we have 'Ranch Watch' to make sure each other's spreads are looked after. Here in town, we have our unofficial 'Neighborhood Watch' program. But it's really not about crime. It's keeping track of where the moose are so you don't let the kids out to play, or the dog out, when the moose have picked that day to make your front yard their home for a few hours. We love watching them, and having moose and deer around as a daily part of our lives, but we know better than to get too close. Despite their awkward appearance, moose can move pretty darn fast and be quite dangerous. Definitely not anything to mess with. So we enjoy our wildlife tremendously, from a safe distance, and count our blessings that these are pretty much the worst 'vandals' we have to deal with, eating our flowers and munching on the bushes and trees in our landscaping.
