Report for Tuesday, June 22, 2004: The Green and New Fork Rivers are still high from run-off, but they are both fishing great! Gray Drakes and Golden Stones are the main hatches with a few Caddis in the evenings. Fishing above the Daniel Bridge is best, below is still blown out and off color. The Green below Fontenelle Reservoir is flowing 1050 cfs and is fishing great. The river is clear with plenty of hatches. The Cicadas have started at long last and big fish are looking up! Meadow Lake is fishing well for grayling. I like Zug Bugs or Prince Nymphs. We should have some Lake Caddis starting (sedge), so fishing a small Stimulator or larger Caddis pattern should work on the surface. The high country still has a lot of snow. Travel above 10,000 feet is going to be tough for another week or two. Get out and
enjoy summer fishing in Wyoming! Tight
Lines, P.S. If you have a good fish story, or any questions on fly fishing, e-mail me at 2rivers@trib.com. I always like to hear about the big one that got away!
