Recent intense sunspot activity has led to solar flare
outbursts impacting the earth over Mother's Day weekend, May
10-12th. This geomagnetic storm created some colorful night
skies over Pinedale, with hues of green and pink. There were
no reports of disruptions to power, internet or radio
communications in our area due to this activity. These two
photos were taken by Bob Rule from Orcutt Hill on the north
end of Pinedale in the early morning and also night of
Saturday, May 11th, 2024.
