Obituary Robert Charles Priddis, age 77, passed away on August 17, 2023, in Mapleton, Utah, after a short battle with cancer. Bob was born in Santa Ana, California, on June 23, 1946, to Venice Martin and Alfred William Robert Priddis. He was the oldest of four brothers. After high school in San Lorenzo, California, Bob attended BYU, where he met and married Annette Scherbel Priddis. They lived in Provo, Utah; Tokyo, Japan; and for the last 44 years, in Big Piney, Wyoming.
Bob worked as a land surveyor and carpenter. He served four missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, three in Japan and one in India—the last three together with his wife. He has left behind a strong legacy of faith, sacrifice, education, hard work, wisdom, and love. "Life is an adventure," he often said, and he expressed, even when he was so ill at the end, that the wonder of his life had exceeded all of his expectations.
He is survived by his wife, Annette, and ten children: Marta (Robert) Brantley, Gwendalynn (Bryant) Jones, Rebecca (Eric) Peterson, Janette (Da Juin) Gao, Naomi (John) Nuttall, Edmund Robert (Kari) Priddis, Nathan Charles (Amy) Priddis, Eimi (Alvin Ozkan) Yildirim, Andrew Scherbel (Ellie) Priddis, and Jackson Cowley (Brinlee) Priddis. He has 46 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by two brothers, Ronald Lee Priddis and Richard Loren Priddis. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Christopher Martin Priddis; and his grandson, Jairin Nelson Brantley.
