Fundraiser for the Museum of the Mountain Man

The Museum of the Mountain Man in Pinedale will kick off events for Green River Rendezvous in July with their annual Western Art & Wine Auction on the evening of Thursday, July 6th at 6:30PM in the outdoor pavilion at the Museum. There will be a live and silent auction. The live auction will be in-person with auctioneer Dave Stephens. This year’s offerings include original paintings, sculptures, photography, handmade jewelry, historic art prints, and baskets with selections of fine wines. Wine chemist, Brenda Baker, will chime in during the auction to help Dave with her wine expertise, humor, and helpful serving suggestions
Live Auction items will be on display in the pavilion at the Museum of the Mountain Man on Thursday, July 6th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Items can be viewed in advance by downloading the art catalog here. There is no online bidding for the live option, however there are options for absentee and call-in for those who cannot attend in person. Groups who wish to reserve a table so they can sit together can call the Museum in advance at 307-367-4101 prior to the event. This is a fundraiser for the Museum, admission is free. There will be food and adult beverages available.
Artists featured in this year’s live auction are Cynde Wilson, Mark William Kelly, Michael Evetts, Kathy Wipfler, Tim Shinabarger, Rob Tolley, Chris Bezold, Dave Bell, David Gilpin, Mary Jabens, Jeff Murray, David Wright, Shannon Schacht, Dan Holgate, Tucker Smith, Karen Keith, Stephen Smith, Kyle Carroll, Karl Bodmer, and Frederic Remington. The feature cover artwork on this year’s art catalog is a painting of a moose by Bondurant artist Tucker Smith.
There will also be a companion silent auction with many more creative items. The silent auction bidding is online only. Bidding is open now through the live auction, closing at 8PM on July 6th. All auction items were generously donated to benefit the Museum. Funds will be used to support Museum programs, projects, and events. The Museum of the Mountain Man is open daily from 9AM to 5PM during the summer season, May to October. Find them online at www.mmmuseum.com
