Bridges of Sublette County

Bridges of Sublette County invites community members to a day-long workshop on Friday, May 19th about addressing the root causes of poverty and instability. The workshop will be from 8:00AM to 3:30PM in the Lovatt Room of the Pinedale Library. Breakfast, lunch and materials provided. Other sponsors include Sublette BOCES, Obo’s Market & Deli, and Subway.

Bridges is a community-wide initiative that engages all sectors and economic classes to address poverty by changing the way we all think and behave, ultimately reducing costs related to crime, poor health and social services. Susie Johnson-Smith has been a presenter of the Bridges model for thousands of teachers, employers, social service organizations, employment agencies, health agencies, landlords, leaders, community volunteers and interested citizens. This training shares common language, tools and strategies that can be immediately used by organizations or individuals to address root causes of instability.
