COVID Update
The Wyoming Department of Health reported 20 new COVID-19 cases in Sublette County this week. WDH also announced another death of a Sublette County resident this week, Public Health sends our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. There are currently 9 active cases in Sublette County, with 1,514 recoveries and 24 deaths, for a total of 1,547 cases since the pandemic began.
Sublette County moved down to the Light Green or Low Transmission Zone for community spread reflecting the lower case counts in the past two weeks (December 23rd-–January 5th).
Dr. Alexia Harrist, State Health Officer with the Wyoming Department of Health, said recent sequencing results combined with the CDC estimates show the Omicron variant has quickly become the most common version causing new COVID-19 infections in Wyoming. Link to this WDH press release here:

New CDC Guidelines for Isolation & Quarantine
Current data indicates that the majority of COVID transmission occurs early in the course of illness, generally in the 1-2 days prior to onset of symptoms and the 2-3 days after symptoms start. Therefore, the CDC has shortened their isolation recommendations:
1. If you test positive (regardless of immunization status), you need to isolate—
o Stay home for 5 days.
o If you have no symptoms or your symptoms are resolving after 5 days, you can leave your house.
o Continue to wear a mask around others for 5 additional days.
o If you have a fever, continue to stay home until your fever resolves.
2. If you were exposed to someone with COVID (quarantine)-–
A. Have you been vaccinated &/or boosted?
• Wear a mask around others for 10 days. Test on day 5, if possible.
• If you develop symptoms, get a test and stay home.
B. Unvaccinated? Not boosted?
• Stay home for 5 days. After that continue to wear a mask around others for 5 additional days.
• If you can’t quarantine you must wear a mask for 10 days.
• Test on day 5 if possible.

Booster Doses–Latest Updates
• Who? Boosters have been recommended for individuals ages 12 years and older.
• When? At least 5 months after your second Pfizer shot, 6 months after your second Moderna shot, or 2 months after your J&J shot.

Flu & COVID-19 Vaccines
As of January 3, 2022 – 3,320 people, or 33.77% of our population, have been fully vaccinated in Sublette County.
Public Health offers weekly COVID vaccine clinics for ages 5+ years. Flu vaccinations are available at our scheduled clinics or by appointment on other days. Walk-ins are welcome on our scheduled clinic days or call 367-2157 to schedule an appointment. Pfizer, Peds Pfizer, and Moderna are offered at our weekly clinics.
Please note–Janssen (J&J) vaccine will no longer be offered at our clinics.

• 11am to 3:30 pm for flu and COVID vaccinations/boosters
• Appointments recommended. Walk-ins welcome.
Thursdays at the Public Health Office in Pinedale

Please bring your COVID vaccine card and completed vaccine
consent form with you. We ask that you wear a mask in our offices for your appointment.
