July 15, 2021
COVID case numbers are on the rise in Sublette County again. The Wyoming Department of Health has reported 17 new COVID-19 cases in Sublette County over the last seven days. There are currently 10 active cases in Sublette County, with 800 recoveries and 7 deaths, for a total of 817 cases since the pandemic began. Individuals are quarantining/isolating in the communities of Big Piney, Bondurant, Cora, Marbleton, and Pinedale. At least three individuals are currently hospitalized from Sublette County.
The CDC is predicting a large uptick of cases in Wyoming over the next couple of weeks. Take care of yourself and others in our community by social distancing when possible, wearing a mask (when distancing is not possible), washing your hands frequently, staying home if you feel sick and getting vaccinated. The delta variant, which spreads more quickly than previous strains, has become the dominant strain in many countries and is predicted to become so in the US. The delta variant has been confirmed in Wyoming cases across the state.
What to Watch Out For If you experience any of the following symptoms: fever, persistent cough, loss of taste or smell, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, a sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea; or if you have had exposure to a positive case, please call the Pinedale or Marbleton Clinic to schedule testing. Public Health continues to offer a free testing voucher for uninsured or underinsured individuals.
