March 31, 2021
There have been 13 new cases of COVID-19 detected in Sublette County since last week’s briefing. This is nearly a doubling of cases from the week prior, and the trend is increasing from the 2-4 cases per week detected throughout most of February and early March.
Of the 705 total cases detected in Sublette County since the pandemic began just over a year ago, there have been 690 recoveries and 7 deaths, with 8 active cases.
Sublette County Public Health reports that some of the new cases can be attributed to travel, but other cases appear to be community spread. There are about 25 people in isolation or recommended quarantine in communities throughout the county, including Big Piney, Marbleton, Daniel, Pinedale, and Cora.
You can help to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 by practicing social distancing, wearing a mask when you can’t distance, washing hands frequently, and getting vaccinated.
Public Health has administered a total of 3,199 Moderna doses, including 1,885 first doses and 1,314 second doses, in addition to administering 100 doses of the one-shot Janssen vaccine.
