Museum holds virtual wreath auction
Museum open late until 7PM on Thursday, Dec. 3rd
by Pinedale Online!
December 3, 2020
The Museum of the Mountain Man in Pinedale typically holds their gala Holiday Wreath and Chocolate Auction the first weekend in December with a big feast and cocktail event, then a live auction and display of all the beautiful hand-made creations. This year, health restrictions on the number of people who can be in group gatherings in the Lovatt Room made that impossible.
Getting creative, the Museum decided to do an online auction, which also allows more people to see the beautiful handmade wreath creations. Visitors can come to the Museum and see the wreaths on display all week Dec. 1-4th from 9AM to 5PM. On Thursday, December 3rd, the Museum is open late until 7PM for those who want to come down after work to view the wreaths. Visitors can vote for their favorite wreaths. Last bids taken at 5:00PM on Friday, December 4th.
There will be hot cider and homemade cookies available for refreshments each day. They will also have door prizes, rare local history books that are no longer in print.
Bidding can be done in person at the Museum or online at www.MMMauction.com. All of the wreaths and chocolates have been donated to the Museum for this annual fundraising event. Money raised goes towards 2021 Museum programs and projects.
