Public Lands Day Sept. 28
Upper Green Boat Ramp Restoration and Willow Planting project near Pinedale
September 26, 2019
On Saturday, September 28, 2019, the Bridger-Teton National Forest will join other public land management agencies, partner organizations, and public land supporters in celebrating Wyoming’s first Wyoming Public Lands Day. There will be a variety of stewardship project opportunities throughout Teton County and across the Bridger-Teton National Forest.
The Pinedale Ranger District Boat Ramp Restoration and Willow Planting project involves restoring vegetation at the old boat ramp just upstream of the forest boundary. Work will include digging trenches, clipping willows, transporting materials, and planting willows. There will be a variety of tasks ranging from low exertion to high exertion, and all workers will be welcome and helpful. This project is being done in conjunction with the Upper Green River Trout Unlimited Chapter, Wyoming Game and Fish, and the Bridger-Teton National Forest.
Volunteers should meet at the forest boundary on the Green River Lakes Road on Saturday at 9:00AM. Work will go through 1:00PM. Come prepared for a work day outside Bring a sack lunch and work gloves. Consider wearing muck boots or waders, and bring clippers or pruning shears if you've got them.
Please RSVP: Interested participants should contact Thea Koci at thea.koci@usda.gov at the Pinedale Ranger District or call 307-367-5741.
