Snow for western Wyoming through early Friday afternoon. The mountains could see 3-6 inches, light accumulations for valleys, 1-3 inches. Southwest winds of 20-30 mph will cause blowing and drifting snow creating difficult travel conditions, reduced visibility, and icy roads – especially over mountain passes and along usual wind corridors. South Pass closed to light weight and high profile vehicles as of the time of this report due to Extreme Blowover Risk. Saturday looks like it will be sunny around Pinedale and a good travel day. Travelers new to our area, also watch out for big game wildlife along roadways, especially dusk & dawn and after dark. Light snow showers will return Sunday through Christmas Day.
