Sublette County Pictorial Year in Review
by Terry Allen
January 3, 2018
Nothing slows down the people of Sublette County, Wyoming. Year round, we fill our lives with spectacular and historic work and spectacular fun. It doesn't matter if it is 25 degrees below zero and blowing snow sideways, folks will hitch up the hay wagon to feed their cattle and in the same day enter a race to ski behind a horse thru a bump filled ski-joring course.
We have a small population (about 9,000) in a big geographical area (4936 square miles). That comes to 1.8 persons per square mile. Somehow, this little number of passionate people...mostly volunteers...keep the county humming with some event or another just about every day of the year.
It has been a real pleasure this past year to document most of these events in large photo stories. It has really given me a Wonderful Life to be able to meet and make friends with so many talented, passionate and hardworking people.
Thank you so much to Dawn Ballou of Pinedale Online and my other story sponsors for making it possible. I do love the online world because you all can just push a button and share my words and pictures to every culture around our earth.
I'll include a link to the Front Page Story Archive so you all can find my stories on the full events I'm only giving you a taste of in this story...but they are some of my favorite photos. http://www.pinedaleonline.com/news/home.htm
