White Pine Ski Area has a huge pile of scrap wood in the car park that they have collected from tree felling all over the mountain. With approval from the USFS they are planning on lighting the fire on Saturday, November 7th. The public is invited to come up from noon onwards for a fun afternoon. Help with picking up rocks from the lower slopes (which may help with an earlier opening), have your photograph taken for your season pass. The grill will be open to grab something eat and then sit by the bonfire and enjoy the evening with friends and family.
