Elizabeth Boehm Artist Reception Nov. 18
November 16, 2015
Everyone is invited to an Artist Reception for Elizabeth Boehm on Wednesday, November 18, from 5-7PM at Isabel Jewelry & Gallery, 21 N. Franklin Ave. in Pinedale. In this new body of work, Elizabeth Boehm has focused her eye on Wyoming's young wildlife. "Young of the Year" will hang through the end of the year at Isabel Jewelry and Gallery in Pinedale and features a stunning mix of wildlife youth. Boehm spends countless hours in the field observing animals and birds; she has set up blinds to hide behind, hiked throughout the state, and carefully sought birds' nesting areas. The results are amazing photographs of the young learning to avoid danger, find food, and safely figure out their niche in life. All of these animals can be seen in Sublette County, in their first year.
Boehm has received numerous awards for her work including: North American Nature Photography Association, Wyoming Wildlife Magazine, and the Art in the Embassies Program. Her work has also been included several field guides and coffee table books along with magazines (Birder's World, Wyoming Wildlife, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation's Bugle, Montana Magazine). She also has a public art piece in Pinedale awarded through the In:Site/Ex:Site program. For more information call (307) 231-0515.
