2013 Green River Valley Cowbelles/CattleWomen Scholarship recipients

The Green River Valley Cowbelles/Cattlewomen have announced their 2013 Scholarship recipients. The Green River Valley Cowbelles award a $500 scholarship to a graduating senior in each of the county high schools. The winners were all members of the National Honor Society, had participated in sports, had done community service, and have some kind of job experience. All have some ties to agriculture and some are planning careers in agriculture.
Pinedale - Casey Manning Casey will be attending Central Wyoming Community College in Riverton to begin pursuing a degree in agribusiness. He is the son of Keith and Talli Manning, who have a ranch west of Pinedale.
Alternate Erika Wolaver. Erika will be attending Central Wyoming Community College in Riverton to study equine science. She is the daughter of Roy and Cat Wolaver, who manage the Fayette Ranch.
Big Piney – Teri Jo Peterson Teri Jo will be attending Montana State University where she will study to train and prepare horses to provide therapy to individuals along with learning chiropractic and message therapy for horses. She is the daughter of Teri Peterson and Deane Janacaro, who manage the Grant Ranch.
Alternate: Lainy Pape Lainy will be attending Black Hills State University with a double major in ranch management and wildlife management. She is the daughter of Ray and Tracy Pape. Lainy’s grandparents are Dru and Tawny Roberts, who have a ranch in Merna.
Sherri Bohleen is the GRVCC Scholarship Chairperson. Other members on the committee are Bonnie Budd, Verna Walker, Liz Wardell, Beckie Richie, Becky Downs, Brenda Carnahan, Mary Fear, Terrie Springman and Marsha Barlow.
