Independent cattlemen to meet June 18th in Pinedale
June 17, 2012
Independent Cattlemen of Wyoming (ICOW) will hold their June meeting on Monday, June 18 at the Lovatt Room of the Sublette County Library. The business meeting will begin at 10:00 A.M. and will break at 12:30 for a lunch at the Stockman's Restaurant. Beginning at 1:30, there will be several speakers: Clive Bundy, Cheri Steinmetz, Albert Sommers, Pete Arambel and wrapping up with Clive Bundy again.
Clive Bundy is the only rancher still grazing on his allotment in Clark County Nevada. He will be sharing information on how he has been able continue under the pressure placed on him by the BLM and environmental groups because of his knowledge of his rights.

Cheri Steinmetz is deeply involved with private property rights and will talk on that.
Albert Sommers testified at the hearing in Boise, Idaho on the lawsuit filed against the BLM by Western Watersheds on RMP's they feel did not sufficiently address sage grouse habitat. He will also take Livestock Board questions.
Rancher Pete Arambel has several lawsuits filed against him trying to remove him from federal lands.
Everyone is welcome to attend any or all parts of the meeting. ICOW has requested the attendance of the Sublette County Commissioners and the Sublette County Sheriff for at least the Clive Bundy part of the meeting.
