CHEYENNE – Today (Friday, March 9, 2012), the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services announced the official launch of its new website: www.wyomingworkforce.org. The website reflects last year’s re-organization of the Department of Workforce Services and the Department of Employment into one agency. "I am pleased Wyoming citizens will now be able to access information about employment issues in one place," said Director of the Department of Workforce Services Joan Evans. "This easy-to-navigate tool provides quick access to many of the important services the Department of Workforce Services offers, and serves as an interactive and educational resource for job seekers and employers alike."
The new DWS website features a job search engine, information on labor standards, workers’ compensation, mine safety, labor market information, occupational safety and health, training grants for businesses, unemployment insurance benefits, vocational rehabilitation and a host of other services. Fraud reports can also be submitted to DWS's team of auditors to address improper payments and suspected fraud.
In addition to the information and reporting sections, the new website links to DWS’s Facebook and Twitter accounts where the department posts job openings and tips for job-seekers.
