On Saturday March 17th, ten Pinedale middle school musicians traveled to Big Piney to perform in the Wyoming Southwest District Middle School Interschool Music Clinic. They were selected from ten school music programs in the area by the recommendations of their school band directors and choir directors. After practicing together all day they performed a concert for the public in the Big Piney School Auditorium.

The director of the 74 member honor band was Mike Munari. Mr. Munari is the director of the middle school and high school bands in Wheatland, Wyoming and has been teaching there for the past 16 years.

Matt Hebbert was the director of the 78 voice honor choir this spring. Mr. Hebbert is the director of choirs in Wheatland and has been teaching vocal music in Wyoming and Nebraska for the last 26 years.

Middle schools participating were Evanston Davis, Evanston Middle, Lyman, Mt. View, Kemmerer, Cokeville, Afton, Jackson, Big Piney and Pinedale.

Students in the honor choir from Pinedale were: Jane Cloninger, Claire Stough and Shiloh Thayne . The Pinedale students in the honor band were: McKenna Legerski, Courtney Harper, Wes Hathaway, Zane Dietlin, Elizabeth Chambers, Nathan Lee and Aimee Gray. These students are under the direction of Gena Anderson – choir and R. Craig Sheppard – Band.
