The National Weather Service advises that moderate to heavy rain and mountain snow are expected late Sunday evening (Oct. 16) through early Monday morning. Bands of moderate to heavy rain and mountain snow will move east into the Upper Green River Basin and Wyoming Range around 10:30 PM and into the Wind River Mountains by midnight Sunday.

Expect snow levels to lower to between 8000 and 9000 feet with snowfall rates near 2 to 3 inches per hour, with up to 6 inches accumulation by 3 AM. Widespread rainfall amounts between 0.10 and 0.25 inches are expected below 8000 feet with local amounts up to 1/2 inch. Precipitation will taper off between 2 AM and 3 AM.

The Advisory includes the Upper Green River Basin and eastern and western Wind River Mountains.
