August 3, 2011 Local photographer Dave Bell has been out on the area trails and posting his pictures in his photo gallery. Recently he hiked to Lookout Mountain in the Wyoming Range. "Year-in and year-out the best wildflower show I can find is on the high slopes of Lookout Mountain. Generally above 10,000' finds an incredible display of something colorful and wild--today it is lupine and columbine! Much of the peak has just melted off, so the wildflowers are about 30-days behind schedule, but the north face has an incredible variety and display of lupine and columbine--with many other colors to follow soon!"
