Scott Almdale took a drive recently around Sublette County to photograph some of the winter wonderland scenic views. "There is nothing like it when one goes out into the Sublette Country on a snow storm-clearing day when the sun comes out bright with Wyoming-blue skies and yet it is still snowing at edge of the mountains. This is one of my favorite magical moments in the winter time. The sun in the Sublette County seems to have a powerful presence even in the middle of a raging snowstorm! It is a great opportunity to capture that on the camera. I drove to Merna one early, bright, sunny morning to capture with photos some scenic Sublette County ranches and some snowy forest scenes at edge of the mountains in the Horse Creek area."
