Sheri Rene Hudson-Nolan
Obituary
December 18, 2010
Sheri Rene Nolan entered this world on January 29, 1958 to Johnny Leon and Carole Sue Hudson in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She grew up a wild child, roaming the hills of Oklahoma and later moved to Houston, Texas where she met and married her teenage sweetheart Robert Millican. Sheri married Robert her senior year of high school. Robert and Sheri became oh so proud parents to Bobby Millican on Feb. 21, 1980 in Houston, Texas. Although they divorced later, Sheri and Robert continued to treasure their never-ending close friendship.
It was in Odessa, Texas that Sheri met and married Bill Nolan, who brought her to Wyoming. Married for 15 years, Sheri and Bill lived in Evanston and Casper, where she worked in advertising sales for radio stations, and in Pinedale, where she became an ad saleswoman for the Pinedale Roundup, and eventual founding owner of the Sublette Examiner.
Sheri and Bill parted in Pinedale. It was in Pinedale that Sheri fell in love with Rod Matthews – a love that lasted through the end of her life. Sheri crossed the Great Divide on December 16, 2010.
Sheri is preceded in death by grandparents Elmer and Ethel Smoot and John B. and Frances Hudson, all of Oklahoma; and by an infant son.
Sheri is survived by her love Rod Matthews; her parents Carole Green of Houston and John Hudson of Bartlesville; son Bobby (Nikki) Millican, granddaughter Kylie Millican of Pinedale; sister Cindy Leisure (Frank) of Pinedale; brother Johnny Hudson of Bartlesville, and niece Chelsea Rene Hudson of Kansas; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 22 at 1 p.m. in the chapel at the Covill Funeral Home located 164 North Bridger in Pinedale. Light refreshments will be served at the VFW after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Kickin’ Cancer in Sublette County, P.O. Box 687, Pinedale WY 82941.
