Eighth Grade Girls Continue to Shine

The Pinedale Middle School eighth grade girls continued their winning ways with perhaps their biggest game of the year against 4A Star Valley. The young ladies rose to the challenge. They used the theme, ‘what an opportunity’, to prepare for the game. They took advantage of this opportunity by rallying to a 32-28 home court victory. The Lady Colts lost two starters to foul trouble, but found the will and determination to overcome as other team members stepped up to the challenge.
Next up was a trip down south to face 3A conference members Mountain View and Lyman. As the young ladies have been doing all year, they scored first on their tip play and got right into a full court press and had both teams down by double digits within the first couple of minutes. Scores were Pinedale 57, Mountain View 10 and Pinedale 50, Lyman 16. The young ladies again overcame adversity as two starters were home ill. These victories show the character of the team. Someone steps up when needed and gets the job done.
On Thursday, February 10th, the Pinedale Colts hosted Farson and came away with a 41-7 victory. There are three games remaining with away games February 17th at Big Piney and February 19th at Kemmerer. The last home game will be on February 24th against Jackson. Please come out and support these young ladies in their last home game. The pride, intensity and teamwork that these girls play with is very enjoyable to watch. The saying," an undefeated season is earned one game at a time" will be used the remainder of the season. Good Luck Ladies!
