Pole Fire 60% Contained
Campgrounds & Lakeside Lodge open, evacuations lifted

The Pole fire began on private land Thursday afternoon on July 12, 2007. All evacuation orders have been lifted and people can return to their homes. The fire crossed the Sky Line Road, but due to wetting rains throughout the evening, it has calmed considerably. Lakeside Lodge is again open. Fremont Lake campgrounds are open.
Fire Danger for the Bridger-Teton National Forest is Extreme and Fire Restrictions are in place.
Status: Size is 1044 acres and 60% contained. Personnel on the fire include Forest Service, Sublette County, and Bureau of Land Management.
Objective: Improving fireline on the south and west flanks and monitoring interior islands. Fire Behavior: Creeping, smoldering, running in the interior islands
Forecast: Fire weather forecast calls for partly cloudy with isolated rain showers until 1200. Temperatures 75-80. Relative humidity 25%.
Closures: No closures are in effect currently. Evacuation orders have been lifted
