Lindsay Forrester accepted to UW Nursing School
July 8, 2007
Lindsay Forrester, of Big Piney, has been accepted into the Fay Whitney School of Nursing at the University of Wyoming.
According to her Mother, Karen Forrester, “Lindsay has been on the Deans list repeatedly. As a family, we moved to Big Piney two years ago, just as Lindsay was graduating from high school in Pennsylvania, she started at the University of Wyoming the following fall, although this was a tremendous culture shock for her, she has put a lot of hard work into her studies and has been very successful in pursuing her dream, of being a nurse. Although, hundreds apply to the nursing college, very few are chosen, due to the limited spaces in the clinical area.” Lindsay will head back to the University this fall, starting her hands-on experience in the nursing field.
The Fay Whitney School of Nursing is known as the best little nursing school in the West. “We are very proud of Lindsay, and wish her all the best, as she tries to make a difference in the medical world,” said her parents. “We need more nurses, and we also need more opportunity for the kids who want to be nurses,” her Mother said.
