Wind, snow, wintery weather continues

The National Weather Service in Riverton is forecasting very strong 25-40 mph winds for Monday evening, with gusts of 50 mph expected. High-profile vehicles are advised to use caution.
A strong disturbance is moving across Wyoming Monday afternoon bringing light to moderate snow showers to the area. The mountains could see up to six inches of new snow. Lower elevations could see 1-2 inches of snow. Mountain passes will be snow packed with slick roadways. Travelers should be prepared for high winds, blowing snow and limited visibility.
This storm system is expected to move out of the area by Tuesday afternoon. Another disturbance is expected to impact the area beginning Wednesday afternoon, bringing another round of snow showers across the west, with some rain showers possible over the Eastern basins.
