The sculpture pictured above, "A Slice of Paradise", is
located on the front lawn of the high school. It was created last year
by Pinedale High School students working with Millennium Artist-in-Residence
Don Kennell, who is also creating a sculpture for the town of Pinedale
in conjunction with the Pinedale Fine Arts Council. The sculpture
represents Pinedale's landscape book-ended by the letters "A" and "Z",
symbolizing the school, its students, a beginning, and an end. Students
collaborated on the design as well as created small personal sculptures
that were cast into aluminum. |
