Black Bear Browsing

We saw lots of bear on this trip including a grizzly, which I was not fast enough to get a picture of. Grizzly bears walk faster then we can run! Keep that in mind. This black bear was openly browing on leaves and small berries during the middle of the day near Tower Junction. The rangers on site said the bears are hungry because it has been a poor year for pine cone harvesting. Taken with a Canon 5d Mark II, with a Canon 400MM F2.8 L and a 1.4X Extender./djb
