Big Daddy


The largest bull elk I watched was located about 5 miles south of Mammoth Hot Springs. He paraded on a hillside for about an hour before and after sunrise. Taken with a 400mm with a 1.4 extender mounted on a Canon 7d. ISO set at 1000. My fellow photographers named him Big Daddy because of his bullying demeanor with his ladies and stature. By far the largest elk I have seen.
