It is always a spectacular view from Wyoming Peak, the highest point in the Wyoming Range at 11,378'. Today the view was Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. To the west was gorgeous scenery, blue skies and wonderful views. To the east was the Fontenelle fire consuming Fish Creek Mountain. I remained on the summit for about an hour watching the plume grow and grow until finally it had formed quite a thunderhead above it. I hiked up from Greys River on a trail I had never walked. About 6 miles up and 2,600 vertical feet, but really an excellent trail with great views, well defined tread and a moderate grade considering it has to ascend 2,600' in a relatively short distance.
