New Fork Lake Beaver
As I was hiking up to the head of New Fork Lake, I watched this beaver swimming towards me. He was motoring right along until he came to an icy portion of the lake--which seemed to throw him for a loop. He circled, dove under water, swam by and around ice floes and looked and looked for an open lead through the ice. This lasted for about 15 minutes, and when he found one, he continued his journey.
