Blowing Snow Particles
I have had great fun cross-country skiing on Skyline Drive this winter. A combination of the deep snow and a returning love of the sport has made for a great winter. The drifts along the ridge line as the wind and snow races up the steep hill from Fremont Lake and then deposits along the ridge line, are absolutely spectacular. Each time I visit this location all tracks are gone and the snow is fresh. Drifts along this ridge are common, and vary each year depending upon snow depth. This year they are exceptional--very beautiful, huge and steep. It is worth seeing./djb
