It's not every year we get to see the elk move from the Big Sandy area onto the desert north of Farson, but this is one of those years. I suppose it is the heavy snow which "forces" them to seek food elsewhere. By my count there are several hundred, and these seven were closest too the highway on March 2, 2011.
