Update--One of the chicks is out of the next in what was probably not a planned flight. I was literally forced back into my cabin by Mom who began dive bombing me when I approached toward the chick which is sitting on a ladder leaning against my storage building. Probably not a good thing. Original Post--We have a Kestrel nest adjacent to our porch. There are 5, best I can count, chicks in the nest. I will begin to post images in a new gallery of the development of the chicks and the coming and going of Mom and Dad as they feed and nurture these cute little buggers. First observations--the parents are incredibly fast. The chicks are very loud and can tell when dinner is arriving, even when it is coming from behind. The parents are none to excited when I am watching on the porch./djb
