| Title: | Natural Resource Technician |
| Description: | Join an interdisciplinary team to aid in monitoring and managing watersheds throughout Sublette County, WY! The Sublette County Conservation District (SCCD) aims to promote and maintain healthy rangelands, clean water and air and maintain premier wildlife and habitat. The SCCD Natural Resource Technician will work closely with all District programs and partners on projects within Sublette County.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Knowledge and/or experience in natural resource management.
• Ability to work with SCCD staff, agency personnel and private landowners and managers. Excellent communication and relationship skills are mandatory.
• Seeking experience in a natural resources field, preference given to applicants seeking or has obtained a degree in natural resources.
• Computer, software, and technological knowledge and skills expected of natural resource professionals.
• Ability to operate four-wheel drive vehicles and pull trailers in off highway situations.
• Must possess a valid driver license with a clean driving record.
GENERAL DUTIES:
• Primary duties include surface water quality sampling, vegetation inventory & monitoring and fencing inventory for wildlife friendly fencing projects. Other duties may include, but are not limited to fence building, and maintenance of the office grounds.
• Performs GIS mapping and assimilates information needed for project completion and success.
• Drafts written reports and organizes assignments.
• Provides accurate and timely updates of activities, accomplishments, time and financial accounting for projects, and other reporting as required.
Temporary Position up to five (5) months May through September
Salary Range: $15.00 to 20.00 per hour. Benefit package includes: Paid Holidays
