Pedigree Stage Stop Race

The
2026 Pedigree Sled Dog Race brings professional sled dog
racing to Wyoming.
Mushing teams will be competing for a $200,000 purse. The
race starts in Jackson on January 30th with a ceremonial
start. Teams then travel to towns across Wyoming for individual ‘stage
stops’ that include dinners for the mushers and the
public in their host towns. Pinedale will host Stages 1 & 2
on January 31st and February 1st. Teams then travel to
Big Piney/Marbleton for Stages 3 & 4 on Monday/Tuesday
February 2 & 3. Later Stage Stops are in Kemmerer and
Lander, with the event ending on February 7th. Mushers
are from all over the US and international. Follow the

18: U.S. Postal Service (USPS) is increasing shipping
service prices by 5-8% starting January 18, 2026 This
includes hikes for Priority Mail (6.6%), Ground Advantage
(7.8%), Priority Mail Express (5.1%), and Parcel Select (6%). The price of
a First-Class Mail stamp will remain unchanged for now.
20: S’cool Kids Club Tuesday, at 4 pm in the Community
Room of the Big Piney Library.
Elementary-aged kids, drop in after school and join us for stories, crafts,
and themed activities. No registration required. This week, we'll be making
hand dot paintings.

by the Sublette County Chamber of Commerce At 9AM and 6PM at the Pinedale Town
Hall. Pinedale Mayor
Matt Murdock will
be discussing the proposed business license ordinance.
20: WYDOT meeting with Sublette County Commissioners The
Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) will be meeting with the Sublette
County Commission
during their regular meeting to share information on local projects. The public
is encouraged to attend and provide feedback. The meeting information and agenda
is available at the Sublette County Commission web site, at https://www.sublettecountywy.gov/86/Board-of-County-Commissioners.
For those unable to attend the meeting in person, the information presented
will also be available on WYDOT’s web site at: www.dot.state.wy.us/STIP.
The public can also provide comments for inclusion by clicking the “WYDOT’s
Interactive STIP Map” link. (Editor’s note: The January 20th meeting
agenda had not been posted on the County website as of the time of this entry,
so
the timeslot for WYDOT isn’t given yet.)
21: Onsite Services Wednesday,
at 11 am at the Senior Center in Marbleton. The Library visits local community
centers with an assortment of books, magazines,
audiobooks, and DVDs to browse and check out. Staff can also help with tech
and device questions.

at 4 pm in the Community Room of the Big Piney Library Teens, unleash your
imagination and
embark on epic adventures with your friends, whether you are new or familiar
with the game.
22: Lunch meeting for Sublette Native Plant Society Thursday
at 11:30AM at the Sublette County Weed & Pest. For members and anyone interested
in learning more about the Sublette Native Plant Society group. Please bring
ideas about
activities for 2026, or share them prior to the meeting if you are unable to

be held at Upper Surveyor Nordic ski trails near White Pine Ski Resort. The
race is for all ski abilities with multiple race distances to choose from and

Film Festival Join the Green River
Valley’s Program of the Jackson Hole Land Trust for the Wild & Scenic
